<description>[...] The resultant inevitable social conflict is only to be expected: Neither secularism nor tolerance means that society should ignore the illicit &#8220;harvesting of souls&#8221; by International Missionary Agencies using their unlimited global funds for forced or induced illegal conversions banned by law. Swami Laxmananda Saraswati would not have been brutally murdered if the Police and other Law Enforcement Authorities had not been so lax, especially since the police were aware of the threat to his life. Blaming the Maoists makes no sense; it is a shoddy effort to suppress the truth. However, in view of the past 7 attempts on Swamiji&#8221;s life against his successful anti-conversion drive, it is quite possible that the Christian terrorists used the Maoists as hired instruments for Contract Killing or it may have been a jointly planned operation. The police have arrested Pradesh Kumar Das, an employee of the World Vision, a Christian Charity who has admitted to having joined a group of 28 other assailants who killed swamiji. <description>Oprah's views match with what Hinduism believes in. The Vedas do not point to a single way and proclaim, "This alone is the path" nor do they affirm, "This is the only God".

Poojya Sri Chandrasekharendra Saraswathi MahaSwamiji, well-known as "MahaPeriava" said the following:

" To Discover The One Truth

All Vedas have one common goal though there are differences among their adherents. What is the goal? It is the well-being of the entire world and all creatures living in it, and the uplift of the Self of each one of us and its everlasting union with the Ultimate Reality.

We may take pride in the Vedas for another reason also. They do not point to a single way and proclaim, "This alone is the path" nor do they affirm, "This is the only God" with reference to their own view of the Supreme Being. Instead, they declare that, if one adheres to any path with faith or worships any deity with devotion, one will be led towards the Truth. The scripture of no other religion speaks thus of the many paths to liberation. On the contrary, each of them insists that the way shown by it alone will lead to liberation. The Vedas alone give expression to the high-minded view that different people may take different paths to discover the one and only Truth."

I wish followers of every faith note what the Vedas say regarding the path to God.

<description>I read this article with a deep sense of pity for the author thereof. It is with this kind of ignorance and lack of information that individuals express their views without doing so much as researching and investigating the validity of what they is writing. In order to put forth a viewpoint you have to be absolutely knowledgeable about the subject matter as if a second nature to you (an erudite scholar on the subject).

Sanskrit, an age-old language is not only beautiful and mellifluous but is deep rooted in expounding the very essence of the Hindu scriptures, which like all scriptural texts are regarded as sacred.

Born out of Indian parents in the western world, and being a fourth generation Indian from India my greatest regret is not being exposed to Sanskrit at an early age. At 50 this October and after attending lectures in English where the teacher translates everything from Sanskrit, the Crown Jewels of the explanation is lost in his translation. For many Sanskrit words there is no exact English translation leaving me at the threshold of understanding my very own heritage.

My greatest desire today is to study Sanskrit, and I have been researching over the past few months to find an online class that conduct the best Sanskrit education. This desire is so intense that I constantly think of what I am loosing and have lost out so far not knowing this language. Imagine not knowing English, how can you possible enjoy, Shakespeare, Milton, Shelly or Frost? In the same way imagine reading the Gita without a fundamental knowledge of Sanskrit, it is impossible.

A parent who understands the value of Sanskrit would naturally want their children to be exposed to this beautiful language. I have studied in English all my life yet after listening to the words of my teacher in Sanskrit, I feel there is no language in this world as sweet, with the depth and deep rooted meanings as Sanskrit. A single word could take you into the depths of spiritual contemplation.

This is the kind of journalism that creates confusion and division amongst people where the intent is to spew out ignorance without the though of its consequences which causes the divisions amongst us. Sanskrit has nothing to do with Moslems or indoctrination as much as English has nothing to do with propaganda.

The language is only the vehicle to convey the message and if the message is bad you cannot fault the language. It is unfortunate that we live in a world where some people speak and act without rationalization, without even thinking for a moment the consequences of their actions. Licensure is the ability to do what you feel, but freedom is the ability to say no to what I know is wrong, and my friend your analysis of Sanskrit as a language is totally wrong.

<description>I would like to thank you for including other spiritual teachings to the Hindus. The more I learn the more I realize the spiritual teachings of many philosophies cross over and blend together leaving little difference between their main core. I appreciate your openness and the information you offer.
